REMEMBRANCE 1918-2018

In honour of all members of the Armed Services past and present and especially all those who have lost our lives for us and our country, we took part in the 215-Project. This project was created to help the children learn about the 215 soldiers who came from Andover town and died in WW1. Each class adopted a soldier and embarked on a week long Remembrance Mini-Learning Adventure focusing on their soldier, their families, the conditions they had to endure and what happened to them. A final outcome of these Mini-Learning Adventures was a decorated class soldier, which joined 203 other soldiers in the local park as part of a Andover Art Installation on the 10th November, the brain child of a local artist John Ritchie. (Shared on South Today and ITV - local TV news.)

The children also came together with Armed Services parents in a Remembrance Worship, led by our Service Children and our RE Professional Guide, Miss Harris. The children focused on remembering and thanking all those who have and do serve in the Armed Services and keep us safe.

Below are the photos of the aforementioned decorated soldiers, photos and footage of the art installation and also some children who took part in other Acts of Remembrance  across the town this year. All of which I am very proud!
