We are very aware children from Service Families encounter unique challenges and we're determined that these challenges do not effect the children's education. In order to support these children we run two SERVICE FAMILY CLUBS in school time and work closely with the parents of these children.
If you or your partner is a member of the Armed Services please let the school office know and we can register this fact. If a child is registered of a SERVICE FAMILY the school will receive some extra funding to specifically support SERVICE children.
As a service family at Pilgrims' Cross you can also receive some support from Alison Hunt, South Hampshire Co-ordinator for the Army Families Federation.
The AFF is an independent and confidential charity which has Army families at the centre of its work. AFF can help with an issue regarding education or employment, housing, health and additional needs or housing allowances and money matters or visas for foreign commonwealth families.
