MR OSMOND'S FIRST MESSAGE 2nd April

 

  Hello everyone, Mr Le Fevre has enabled me to have my own web page so that I can touch base with you all each week.

 

Here’s the first instalment!

 

Spring is here and I thought I’d show you some pictures/paintings that have recently been completed by the amazing artist David Hockney. He’s really clever because he not only uses paints and brushes but sometimes has a go at painting images on his iPad. In fact, he’s become quite obsessed with using this form of media to create his artwork.

 

During this time of change, painting and drawing can be a lovely way to capture signs of Spring and focus on the beauty of nature and our role within it.

 

So my loving challenge to you all, over the next couple of weeks, is to create similar images/drawings/paintings showing signs of Spring and then send them to Mr Le Fevre or myself to upload onto the school website so that we can all enjoy each others individual brilliance!

Parents and Staff, you can get involved here to if you like!

 

Here are some of David’s recent works, you could always have a go at resembling these if

  you like. Remember, with art, there are no rules, just go for it and have some fun in the process.  

Below are some Well Being activities to do and are aimed at different aged children. Please do incorporate them into your daily routine to help children regulate, express emotions and also be creative.

 

As Mr Le Fevre has said in previous emails and messages this time is also for spending time together and we must focus on our own and the children's well being as well. If we and the children are in the right emotional space then we will are able to learning more and cope with changes in our lives. 

 

ONE WELL BEING TIP - Whic Mr Le Fevre would like me to share with you is:

 

DO NOT JUDGE YOURSELF AGAINST OTHERS

AND REMEMBER WHAT IS ON SOCIAL MEDIA is USUALLY just the shiny bits of people's lives!  

And please apply this tip to home learning or home activities, do what is right for you and your family and do not worry about if it is good enough or what others are doing :-)

 

 

Be kind to yourself and each other.
