What help and support is there for my family?

Early Help

Test Valley’s ‘Early Help Hub’ aims to give the right support to children, young people and/or families at the earliest possible opportunity.

Please download the attachment below, in order to find out what Early Help is, whether it could support your family and how to access the service. Alternatively, please make an appointment to see Mr Le Fevre, who will be happy to talk to you about Early Help.

Service Families

Our school is supported by Alison Hunt, South Hampshire Co-ordinator for the Army Families Federation.

The AFF is an independent and confidential charity which has Army families at the centre of its work. AFF can help with an issue regarding education or employment, housing, health and additional needs or housing allowances and money matters or visas for foreign commonwealth families.

Zara Colwell – Parent Support Adviser

Zara is available to support all of our parents at Pilgrims’ Cross, with any aspect of parenting for FREE: behaviour management, sleeping and eating routines and much more.

Zara is extremely ‘down to earth’ and highly approachable. Parents can either refer themselves by contacting: zcolwell@wintoncommunityacademy.org 07903 500229 or just pop into the school office and ask to make an appointment with either Mr Le Fevre or Mrs Clark and we will help you to make the very simple referral.

Zara is happy to visit parents at home, meet in school or a coffee shop – whatever suits the parent best.

English as an Additional Language

If you are a parent or carer who speaks English as an additional language, there is a telephone support service available to you.
